iHoops Skills Challenge
This local competition provides boys and girls ages 9 to14 a FREE opportunity to display three (3) fundamental basketball skills – shooting, dribbling and passing.
Participants have the opportunity to compete in three (3) levels of competition: Local Competition, Regional Competition and National Finals. Top performers from the Regional Competition level receive an all-expense paid trip to the National Finals, which will be held May 2009 in Orlando, Florida.
Special thanks to all of the youth who participated in the December Challenge. Check us out in March for the next one!
Basketball Extravaganza
This annual event held Memorial Day Weekend, highlights the individual skills of the Jr. NBA/Jr. WNBA League participants. Prizes are awarded based on skill competitions in the areas of dribbling, passing and shooting. In addition, parents, coaches and volunteers have the chance to display their "basketball skills" in a fun, yet competitive game.
Skills & Drills Camp
Each summer Abayomi CDC conducts a basketball camp for those players interested in developing their fundamental basketball skills. In 2008, this camp featured NBA Legend Lindsey Hunter.
