Property Improvement Program
Abayomi CDC is a MSHDA certified Property Improvement Program (PIP) Community Agent. The Property Improvement Program provides low interest loans to home owners who would like to make upgrades or improvements on their homes such as painting, new siding, roofing, new windows or remodeling the kitchen or bathroom. You can even choose your own contractor! Special emphasis is given to homes with evidence of lead based paint hazards.
Program Requirements
- Completed MSHDA Credit application
- If more than one unit, proof of the number of units contained in the structure
- Current paycheck stubs for the most recent four weeks
- Previous federal and state income tax returns including W-2 forms and all schedules
- Photocopy of hazard insurance policy page
- Written estimates from state licensed contractors
As a Community Agent, Abayomi will process your loan application and guide you through the easy task of obtaining a loan from one of our participating lenders. Interest rates range from 6-8%.
